Love Life. & Happines the lost story

Love, Life, & Happiness: The Lost Story, available now on Amazon! The story picks up where part 2 left off as the crew prepare for another semester at Shaw University. See how everyone copes with the aftermath of the Riana’s birthday party, and if everyone can let go of their past mistakes.

Here is a preview of the story, as Riana and Shawn relive a happier moment in their relationship:

“Where are we?” Riana asked as she walked over to an area full of brightly lit lights.

“This is an area where I love to come to when I want to think,” Shawn said as he put an arm around her.

“This is beautiful. You can easily see the stars from here,” she said as she looked up at the sky.

“This is the first place I came to when I first started Shaw. Just looking at it made me stop and relax. It made me not think about any cares in the world. Just being here and looking at the stars was all I thought about.”

“Who knew you was sentimental?”

“I have a soft side.”

“If this place is only for you, why did you bring me here?”

“Because you’re special to me. Riana, I know I said it before, but I really appreciate you in my life. You’re special to me in ways that no one will ever know. I love you so much and I hope that we can share our lives together forever.”

Riana looked at Shawn as he pulled out a black jewelry box. Riana couldn’t believe her eyes, as Shawn opened the box to reveal a beautifully cut diamond ring set on a white gold band. Riana’s eyes started to swell with tears as she looked at the ring in awe.

Shawn smiled and looked at Riana. “Before you say anything, it’s not what you think. It’s not an engagement ring.”

“Then, what is it?” Riana asked in tears.

“It’s a promise ring. I would like for us to get to that point in our relationship but, right now, I want us to be committed to each other in every way possible.”

Riana smiled, as Shawn placed the ring on her ring finger.

“So, Riana Robertson, do you commit to our relationship and to the love we have for each other?”

Riana nodded her head as the tears started to flow down her cheeks. “Yes, Shawn. Yes, I do,” she said and wrapped her arms around Shawn in a tight embrace. “I love you, Shawn,” she said softly.

“I love you too, baby…”

Six Things You Need To Know About The Lost Story

Hi everyone!! Love, Life, & Happiness: The Lost Story, will be available on Kindle and paperback soon! The four-part series is the original version that  was written back in 2004.

Some of you are probably wondering what is the difference between the original version and the recent published version. If some of you were able to read The Lost Story on my blog, then you probably would know some of the differences. But to get you ready for part 1, here are the six things you will need to know about The Lost Story.

1.The Story: When I wrote the original story, I tried to incorporate my college experience into the story as well as the characters. As mentioned in a previous blog post, I used some of the personality traits from some of the people in my life to make up some of the characters.

 2. Riana & Shawn: Everyone knows how much I love this couple and it shows with their storyline. With The Lost Story, some of the storyline is similar to Love Unbroken, but with a bit of a twist.

3. There is no Jayden: With The Lost Story, Ri is an only child, so there is no Jayden. Instead, Chris, who is Shawn’s best friend, is in the story. Also, Nathan and Zack are not in this series.

4. Marcus is a cop: And he doesn’t appear in part one until towards the end of the story. But he does make a huge impact in part 2, which some of you probably won’t like, especially since he will come between Ri and Shawn.

5. Couple Swapping: This series will have a lot of couple swapping. You probably won’t look at the characters the same way after you read parts 1-3.

6. Monica: Monica is the same character in both versions. So much so, that you all will wonder how Donnell puts up with her. You have to read the series in its entirety to find out just how much.

There you have it. Part 1 of The Lost Story will be available tomorrow, so get ready to read the highs and lows of the crew as they get through their sophomore year at Shaw University!

The Future

Hi everyone! Since this is my day as the featured author on the 30 Days, 30 Authors event, I wanted to share a few things about what has been happening with my writing that I didn’t share on my post.

If you follow me on Facebook and Twitter, some of you probably know that I have switched publishing companies a few weeks ago. Now, I’m signed with Ambiance Books under national best-selling author, Niyah Moore. This was a huge step for me that I had to really think about. When I was signed under my previous publisher, I knew that it wasn’t the best decision that I have made in my career. Going from a romance author to an urban author was tough and I felt the effects of it throughout my career. A lot of things has changed for me, making me wonder at times if I was even in the right profession; that’s why I decided I needed to get back on track, and that began when I decided to sign with another publisher. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate what I have learned throughout the time I was signed with my previous publisher, but I knew being there was not a perfect fit for me or for my writing style.

With that being said, the first book I will released under Ambiance will be Love, Life, & Happiness: The Lost Story, which will have a brand new title. It will either be named Pain vs Love or Pleasure of Love.  That I haven’t decided on. There will be four parts to the series as I’m working on the finale now. I’m The Only One You Need will also be released under Ambiance; a release date has not been announced yet for either stories.

Also, for you In Love With My Best Friend fans, I am FINALLY  working on The Love Chroncicles!  I know I have been promising you all the spin-off, but it is finally happening and should be done by the end of May (crossing my fingers on that one). This might be an independent release, but I might also decide to release it under Ambiance. That decision I haven’t made yet. Regardless, it will be released over the summer. I will also post an unedited excerpt from the story soon. 🙂

As always, I appreciate everyone who has stuck by me throughout my career. I truly appreciate your love and support. As I move forward with my career, I hope you all continue to join me as well as continue reading my stories, becuase I still have a lot to tell. 🙂
