Hey everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! So, I have taken a few weeks off from writing to focus on some personal stuff, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been brainstorming on some new story ideas.
While this story is still in the beginning stage, I decided to do a sequel to Into You, titled Resisting Temptation. This story will be a little similar to its counterpart, but it will take place at a different location with a new set of characters. You will get to find out how Vanessa, Marc, Simone, and Enrique are doing as the heroine of Resisting Temptation, Reece, will be Vanessa’s cousin.
I think this story will be a bit risque, but also still have the romance that all of my books have. The relationship between the main characters will slowly turn to romance as the two struggle with their feelings for each other. If you enjoyed reading Into You, I think you will really love reading how the relationship between Reece and Troy develops in Resisting Temptation.
Here is the cover as well as the blurb below. Thank you, Melody from Ebook Indie Covers for the hot cover. I love it!
A release date will be announced soon for this story, so stay tuned. 🙂
Troy Garcia is one of the top managers at Suds Car Wash-Richmond, but is also a huge player. From his constant flirting with customers to him indulging in many of the employees, he loves the ladies, and with his good looks and charm, he knows he can get any woman that comes into his path.
That was until Reece Palmer came into his life.
Reece is everything Troy wants in a woman: smart, ambitious, and sexy as hell. As he tries to find ways to get with her, Reece is definitely not falling for his antics, making Troy wonder if she’s worth the fight.
Or is she?
After quitting her job and abruptly leaving the only city she knows, Reece decides to move to Houston to be near her cousin, Vanessa, her husband, Marc, and their daughter Samantha. She doesn’t know what direction her life is heading, but she knows she needs a job fast. Her cousin suggests she come work at Suds as the new office manager. With the location needing a bit of a facelift, Reece is up for the challenge; little did she know she also need to get the manager in line. In more ways than one.
With the daily theatrics of the business, including bickering amongst the employees, and rude customers, Reece has her job cut out for her; but the real issue is with Troy. She wants to strangle him on a daily basis, making her wonder if her feelings for him are pure hate, or something more.
The constant interaction between the two will make them wonder if there is something more between them. While Reece is trying not to get involve with a co-worker, Troy has even bigger demons to deal with, causing him to finally face them head-on.
Will the two be able to get past their personal issues to see where their feelings are for each other, or will their dilemmas push them further away from what is right in front of them?

Hi everyone!!! Hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday! As some of you may know, I decided to re-release some of the series that were under my former publisher. I wanted to be able to have all of my titles either under my publishing company or as an independent release.
Currently, I’m working on the Something Just Ain’t Right series. At first, I was thinking about changing the title back to the original title, Resisting Temptation, but I wanted to keep the current title since it kind of goes with the theme of the series.
Here are the new covers to the series, which I hope to have on Amazon once my former publisher decides to take down their version.
And if you have forgot about the entire series, here’s a refresher:
Morgan Carter always lived life on the edge. He never cared about anything or anyone until he set his sights on Hayley Stevens. Hayley is someone that he has known since they were kids, but it wasn’t until their adult years that he started to notice how beautiful of a woman she really had become. Unfortunately, it’s hard to see her as anything more than his best friend’s sister.
Hayley, on the other hand, had instantly felt a connection with Morgan the moment they met. She knows that she’s playing with fire, especially since her brother doesn’t want him anywhere near her. But, she’s determined to make Morgan hers, even if it destroys the relationship she has with her brother and the life-long friendship between the two.
Once they give in to their desires of being together, they are faced with several issues. Secrets are unveiled as deceit and mayhem follow. Will there be anyone that Morgan and Hayley can run to or will they learn there is nobody around that they can really trust?
Hayley Stevens didn’t know what to expect when she started a relationship with Morgan Carter. Everything that she knew about her life has changed and now she’s on the run with the man that she loves. She and Morgan starts a new beginning in another city. However, the move proves to bring on more drama than she can possibly handle. Will she be able to continue supporting Morgan or will it become too much for her?
After everything that has happened with his friend, Lamar, and with his family, Morgan is trying to make a new life for himself and Hayley. He thinks he can stay out of trouble, but he is faced with more obstacles that even he’s not sure he can hide from. Will he be able to maintain his composure or will everything that he worked hard to keep a secret come crashing down around him?
Hayley and Morgan find it hard to hide from their misdeeds while realizing that they still can’t trust those closest to them. With secrets unfolding and the truth coming to light things could end deadly for one them.
In the past two months, Morgan Carter and Hayley Stevens has been through a lot, from threats to kidnappings to shootings. The two have dealt with so much. They realize as long as they are together nothing will tear them apart. However, after Hayley’s shooting, Morgan realizes that in order to protect the ones closest to him that he may have to do something drastic which could tear the two apart.
When a series of lies are exposed about the one person he trusted, Morgan has to do what he can to protect not only himself, but also Hayley. Will the two be able to stay together and make things work, or will things crumble around them which could lead to someone not making it out alive?
Find out what happens in Something Just Ain’t Right 3, the final conclusion to this series.
If you are not familiar with the dream cast that I’d created, you can click on the link below to take a look to who I would chose for each character from the series:
Remember, a novella of the series, Just Right, will be released on August 9th. Pre-order is available now.
No Other Love is another series that is currently under my former publisher. This one will also be re-released soon. Here is the new cover for part 1:
Kevin Thompson always lived life straight by the book. He got a great job, married his college sweetheart, Jennifer and together they’re raising a wonderful son.
Even though Kevin is living the picture perfect life, he’s starting to feel that something is missing. His marriage is slowly falling apart leaving him in a compromising position. To make matters even more complicated, he unexpectedly runs into an old college friend, Carla Windsor. Carla just happens to also be friends with Jennifer.
When secrets are exposed between the three, will it destroy everything Kevin has worked hard for? Or, will he see this as his way out of the life that he once cherished?
I will post more information regarding both re-releases once I’m able to upload the new versions back onto Amazon.
Until then….Happy Reading! 🙂
Hi everyone!! After a brief hiatus, Love & Drama: The Root Of All Evil, the interracial standalone, is back on Amazon! The story was originally under my former publisher, but now, I’m releasing it as an indie standalone. It’s the same story, but a different cover. That’s all.
If you are unfamiliar with this story, here is the blurb:
He’s a hitman who’s trying to change his ways.
She’s the good girl that loves to do bad things.
When these two are together, anything is possible.
When Zuri Caldwell meets Damon Baxter at a club five years ago, she never expected for her life to be turned upside down. After having a one-night stand together, she never realized she would be seeing him again, until she sets foot in his classroom.
While they try to stay away, the attraction is still there that the two cannot deny, leading them to have a discreet relationship. That is, until Zuri moves to California for an executive position.
Five years later and she is back in Houston, lost on her luck since she was fired from her job over an event that went extremely wrong. She encounters Damon again, which sparks up old memories. Even though Damon wants her back, Zuri doesn’t since she just got over an engagement. However, that doesn’t mean she won’t sample a little of what he’s offering.
The two fall back into a sexual relationship that could prove dangerous since Damon has been living a double life. He tried to leave his old life as a hitman behind, but his past keeps catching up with him, forcing him into doing one last hit. He never wanted to do it, but there’s a reason he has to, Zuri. There’s one catch though, she has to be involved as well. Mainly because her ex-fiancé is the target.
The two have to find a way to get what the men need without tipping off anyone, including their friends, Zuri’s parents, and most of all, her ex. But can the two do it without having their feelings get involved?

I’m doing a double post today as I’m giving details to a new standalone, Into You. This story is reminisced to the In Love With My Best Friend days as two people come to terms with how they feel for each other, but have a few people standing in their way of happiness. I’m having such a great time writing this story and I think you will enjoy Vanessa and Mark’s journey to love.
Here is the unofficial synopsis. It could change before the official release:
Vanessa Hartwell has always lived the good life. With her fancy job as a management consultant, she never had to worry about anything; that was until her boss, and former lover, decides to sell the company to a business that already have a staff in place.
Now that the life she knows is quickly changing, she has to find a job fast. With the help of her good friend, she decides to take a position at an unlikely place. She didn’t think things could get any worse; but that all change when she encounters Mark Fernandez. She soon starts to become friends with Mark, but she can’t get past the idea that not only is he her co-worker, but also the owner of her new employer’s son. After what happened between her and her former boss, she made a vow to herself to never mix business with pleasure. Will Mark be able to change her mind or will she let love pass her by?
Mark Fernandez has always been a ladies’ man and have encounter a couple of flings at his father’s business; but he never encountered someone like Vanessa. She’s a bit feisty, but he knows he can find a way to let her guard down. While he does, he has a couple of secrets of his own that he doesn’t want anyone to know. Will he be able to continue hiding them, or will Vanessa be the one to break down his wall?
As the two try to establish a relationship, there will be a lot of obstacles in their way, including jealous exes, negative family members, and even crazy co-workers. Will the love they have for each other be enough to keep their relationship going, will it tear them apart?
Take a journey with Vanessa and Mark as they try to build a relationship with each other as well as discover their purpose in life in the story, Into You.

1.Besides writing, what else do you like to do?
Besides writing, I like to cook and of course read. I used to sing in a gospel choir but that was years ago. I love listening to music, mostly old school artists like Patti LaBelle, Toni Braxton, Charlie Wilson, just to name a few.
2.What inspired you to become an author?
I’ve always wanted to write. When I was younger, I would write stories in a journal. Then I started writing stories and reading them to my kids. As a reader, there were books to read by not many in topics I was interested in so, one day, I was the computer and decided to write my own book with the characters that I wanted.
3.What was your first reaction when your debut novel was published?
I could believe it when I held the shiny paperback book in my hand. I had completed a dream and I was in heaven. I might not have received the raving reviews I was expecting but I took all criticism as constructive and continued to hone my craft.
4.Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Churning out lots of books. I recently retired after 28 years of service at my company. I started with the company young and took advantage of the years of service to leave at an early age and start my next phase of life writing full time. My husband and I are already planning on the places we want to travel so I can start my backdrops. I am so looking forward to it.
5.What advice can you give to anyone who wants to become an author?
I advise all aspiring writer to just write but to stay in a genre that they are familiar with. I’m not saying not to branch out, but to gain an audience by doing what they know best before branching out to other genres. If you gain a good following, they will check out the new works and maybe bring other readers to that genre.
From The Eyes of A Stranger
Alex entered the swanky American cuisine restaurant hoping he had beat Dana. From the archway, he saw her sitting at a cozy table covered with a white tablecloth and topped with a warm glowing candle. She looked as graceful as a swan dressed in soft lavender. As he approached the table, his chest muscles bunched and his whole body tensed. Dana was a vision of beauty. Her wide brown eyes, full lips, golden-brown skin, caused his blood to run thick. His throat constricted. Say hello, idiot. She looked up before he had a chance to speak; his pulse thrummed through his skull. “I’m sorry I’m a little late; traffic was heavy.”
“You aren’t late; I’ve only been here five minutes,” she said standing to hug him.
The smell of her perfume tickled his nose in a delightful manner. He took off his coat placing it over an empty chair. “You look fabulous. Lavender is a lovely color on you, but I bet any color would look beautiful on you.”
“Thank you. You’re looking mighty handsome tonight, too. I wonder if I’ll get any service once the waitress gets a look at you,” she said fanning her face. “I love the smell of that cologne you’re wearing.”
“Our server could be a man, and then I’ll wonder the same. You get more beautiful each time I see you,” he said with a sly grin.
“And that would be twice. The first time doesn’t count since I had my back to you while we were talking. And then I proceeded to fall apart. Not to mention my butt was hanging out and my shoes went left and right.” She started to laugh. “You were there and saw it all.”
“The top of your head was pretty so I knew your face would be too. And being the gentleman I am, I didn’t look when your skirt exposed your backside. Although, that was the sexiest thong I’ve ever seen.”
“Oh, we’re starting off with the short jokes and ending with the embarrassing jokes. Fire away, I’ve been dealing with them all my life. Give me one I haven’t heard before,” she said still laughing.
He propped his elbows on the table and folded his hands. “Okay, how about this? You are the right height to cuddle in my arms as we nestle on the couch or in the bed together. I’d hold you close to keep you warm on a cold night or safe whenever you felt scared.” Alex saw her eyes shift, softening; he’d scored a point. He didn’t know how many he needed to impress her but felt he was on the right track.
Dana fumbled with the cloth napkin to hide her nervousness. “Okay, that’s one I haven’t heard before or was expecting. Wow, I could really use a drink. How about you?”
Alex smiled nodding his head. “Yeah, I could use a drink.”

Hi everyone! Since I haven’t been on my blog recently, I’m giving you all two Sample Sunday posts! This one is from Love & Drama: The Root Of All Evil, which is avaiable now!
This excerpt is when the main characters, Damon and Zuri, unexpectedly see each other again in an unlikely place after their one-night stand together. This is also from Zuri’s POV.
I can’t believe I did that! I’m still in shock that I slept with a complete stranger. I’m not going to lie, it was good. Damn, it was good, but just because it was doesn’t excuse the fact that I fucked someone that I just met not too long ago. That was tacky and nasty and those two things are not me.
Once I got over the initial shock of my actions, I tried to leave Damon’s place, but while I was in the middle of putting my dress on, he picked me up, put me on the top of his dresser and ate me out until I was too weak to move. This guy was perfect. He’s sexy, funny, and can make my pussy cum more in one night compared to my entire life; but regardless of all that, I couldn’t be with him; that’s why after we had sex for the third time, I grabbed my clothes and snuck out while he was asleep. Now it was the next day and I was walking into my Principles of Economics class exhausted but a little happy all because with the night I had, it was well worth it.
I sat down in a seat besides Nicole as she gave me a smirk. “Nice to see you this morning. I didn’t think you were going to make it to class since you were out all night.”
“I did come back to the apartment. I guess you had a good night too.”
“It was good. Chandler took me back home, kissed me and left. He was the perfect gentleman. I can only imagine what you were up to, you little hoe.”
“Does it look like I did anything? Damon and I just talked the entire night.”
“Sure, so I guess you didn’t see all those hickeys on the left side of your neck. I guess he was already branding his territory.”
I quickly pulled out my compact and opened to the mirror. Sure enough, there were a bunch of marks on my neck that I didn’t even realize were there.
“Shit, he must had put it on you good. But I’m surprised at you. You never get down on the first encounter.”
I sighed. “I know; it just happened.”
“It’s those eyes. Trust me, you did the right thing. Too bad you won’t see him again.”
I glanced at her and she shrugged. She’s probably right. Even if there was a chance of us seeing each other again, I kind of ruin us getting together since I left his place in the middle of the night.
I was about to pull out my iPad when the doors swung open and someone walked in. Someone that I was not expecting at all.
“Good morning, class, how is everyone today.” He said as he put down his briefcase and looked at us. He looked into the crowd and automatically spotted me sitting in the second row. He couldn’t take his eyes off of me as he mumbled shit. Several students turned to see what he was staring at. I quickly looked into my backpack, pretending I was looking for something.
Damon cleared his throat before going to the projector. “My name is Damon Baxter and I’ll be filling in for Professor Thomas for the remainder of the semester.”
Nicole giggled. “Damn, you fucked the professor.”
I punched her shoulder as several people turned to stare at me. Damon looked at me again before going to the projector to start class. I was already feeling guilty over what I’d done, but to know I slept with an instructor really made me feel like a slut. I lowered myself in my seat, praying that class will be over soon.
I also created a trailer for the story. You can see it clicking on the link below. 😀
