Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Sunday! Since Sunday is almost over, I still wanted to share an excerpt to my upcoming release, Into You. This scene takes place on the same day that the main characters, Vanessa and Mark meet. She had an unexcepted event occur, so Mark decided to help her out. And well, take a look at the excerpt. 🙂 And it is unedited.
I looked around at my new room in Simone’s house and sighed. After two and a half hours of moving everything out of my condo, everything was crammed in either my room, Simone’s living room, or in her garage. Luckily she didn’t have anything in her guest room so I was able to place all of my bedroom furniture there.
I was about to lay down on my bed when there was a knock at the door. I looked over and saw Mark come in. “Is it okay if I come in.” “Sure.”
He walked to the bed and stared at me. I quickly got up and went over to him.
“I really have to thank you for everything. You were even able to put my bed up. That was really sweet of you.”
“I didn’t want you sleeping on the floor. With everything that happened today, you need a good night’s rest.”
“Well, I appreciate it. I would like to take you out to dinner as a thank you.”
He shook his head. “You don’t have to. I was glad to do it.”
I suddenly became nervous as I looked at him. He had a bit of sweat on his forehead as I slowly wiped away with my fingers. He gave me a confused look as I smiled.
“I didn’t want the sweat to fall down your face. You know once it gets to your eyes…”
“It stings. Happens a lot to me while I’m working.”
I quickly walked over to the doorway to retrieve a box. I was about to pick it up when I lost my balance. Mark came over to help me. We both stared at each other as he slowly let go of my waist.
“Sorry, I didn’t want you to fall.”
“It’s fine. Thank you. Where is Simone? Did she leave for work?”
“Yeah, she did. I think you were in the bathroom. She said she’ll call you later.”
“Okay. Well, I guess I better unpack a couple of things before I get some rest.”
“Did you want me to help you?” He asked while coming up to me. I could feel him close to me as he tried to grab a small box beside me. His shoulder brushed against mine which sent several tingles through me.
“It’s okay. I can manage.”
“You sure. I don’t mind.”
He looked at me as his hand slowly lingered down my arm. My heart started pounding as he continued to touch me. No matter how good it felt right now, I couldn’t let this continue.
“I’m fine, Mark. Thank you, though.”
He nodded. “Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
I smiled. “See you tomorrow.”
He went towards the hallway and I followed him. He opened the door and walked outside. He turned around and stared at me.
“There’s something I have to do though.”
He grabbed my waist and stared into my eyes before slowly bringing me to him. His lips touched mine, which I was completely surprised about, but very turned on. His hands slowly caressed my lower back, as they were creeping to my ass. My hands were in his hair, as my tongue went into his mouth. I began to whimper as I felt his hard on pressed against me. That’s when I knew we had to stop.
I slowly pulled away from him as he ran a hand through his hair. I had to control my breathing as he was doing the same for his.
“Now my night is complete. See you, Vanessa.”
I watched him as he went to his truck. He looked back at me again before getting inside. I slowly closed the door, not knowing what the hell just happened. I touched my lips, still feeling his on them. My hands went to my breasts as my body was on fire. I completely forgot about unpacking as I went to my room. I needed to take a shower. A long, steamy shower.
