Hi everyone!! Since the release of In Love With My Best Friend, I was debating on whether I should include an epilogue to the current story, since the ending was kind of short. Although Camille and Trevor had their HEA, it was still something missing and felt another part should be added to show the love the two have for each other.
Although I may not rerelease the story to include a new ending or an epilogue, I decided to share the epilogue to give an idea on how the relationship progressed after the wedding chaos.
If I decide to rerelease the story, the epilogue may not be in the story; it could be a completely different ending; but for now, here is the unedited epilogue to In Love With My Best Friend from Camille’s point of view. Enjoy 🙂
“What a day,” I said as I hit my garage opener to close the garage down. I got out of my car and went straight to the door, signaling the alarm as I quickly hit the button to silent it before I received a call from my alarm company.
I couldn’t believe the events that happened at work today! First, I had the meeting from hell with a client that wanted to have an event worthy of an all-out orgy. After explaining to the client that their event would be probably lead to an eventual raid by Houston Police, the client decided to take their business elsewhere, which I gladly obliged. Along with getting into an all-out argument with Vicky over the importance of employee etiquette (which she has none of), I decided to call it a day, which was the best decision I could had made today.
Now that the day was over, all I wanted to do was see Trevor and have his muscular arms wrapped around me. As soon as I left the office, I called him to see if he would be free tonight, but unfortunately, he had a campaign that was due and had to work late to finish it.
Three weeks since the wedding chaos, Trevor and I have been inseparable. We spent almost every day and night together and I loved every bit of it. I still can’t believe Trevor and I are together. Although the two of us were too stubborn to admit the feelings we had for each other, I wouldn’t change how the way we ended up together.
As soon as I open the door to my house, I look down and notice a trail of red rose petals place by the threshold and the living room floor. Candlelight filter the living room as the sound of Chrisette Michele was playing softly in the background. The smells of Cajun chicken pasta instantly tickle my nose as I start to walk down the trail.
I walk into the dining room, immediately smiling at the sight in front of me. Trevor walks out of the kitchen looking as delicious as the meal that was placed on the table. I could tell he just showered as his black hair was still damp and was wearing my favorite plaid shirt and dark blue jeans. That shirt always was a turn-on to me, and how it looks on him now made me extremely horny.
“I thought you had to work late?” I said as I went up to him.
“I couldn’t tell you about the surprise I had for you. Besides, even if I had to work late, I would have dropped everything to be with you.”
I smile as I give him a kiss. He wraps his arms around me, bending down to kiss my neck.
“I see you put the key I gave you to good use.”
“Well, you did say to make myself at home whenever I wanted to.”
“Of course,” I say.
“So, where’s your car? I didn’t see it when I pulled up.”
“Charles dropped me off. For some reason, he asked about Tia and Eric earlier.”
“I don’t know why. For all I know, Tia is pretty happy with Eric. She said they’re even going out-of-town this weekend.”
“Really? They only had been dating for three weeks.”
“I know, but you know how Tia is. When she’s with someone, she kind of likes to take things fast.”
“Well, I’m glad Tia is happy, but right now, the only thing I want to focus on is us.”
Trevor says as he takes off my jacket.
Trevor stares at me as he puts his hand through my hair. I start to become nervous as he continues to look at me.
“What’s wrong, baby.”
“Nothing’s wrong. Just thinking how lucky I am that you love me.”
I begin to tear up, realizing that the man standing in front of me was more than just my best friend. Now, he’s the love of my life.
“I still hate what I put you through. If I just said something sooner about how I felt, we wouldn’t have wasted so much time…”
“Baby, what matters now is that we’re together. But there is a way you could make it up to me, since you still feel bad about what happened.”
Trevor gives me a perplexed glance.
“And what is that?”
I look at him as I unbutton his shirt. I smile as I place a hand down his chest.
I didn’t need to explain any further as I unzip my dress. I let it fall to the floor, revealing my black and white lace bra and matching thong.
“Dinner can wait.” I say as I head towards the hallway. I turn around as I give Trevor a seductive glance, urging him to come to me. Trevor gives me a sexy grin as he walks up to me. He lifts me up, causing me to giggle as we went towards my bedroom.
I never thought seventeen years ago that the boy who lived next door to me would capture my heart. Sure, I had feelings for him then, but I didn’t think he felt the same way. Although it took us forever to admit them, we both know now that what we have is true love, and that is something that I will always be grateful for.
As I stare at the handsome man in front of me, I can truthfully say that I am in love with my best friend, just like he is with me.
“I love you, Camille.” Trevor says softly as he kisses my forehead.
Hearing those three little words from Trevor’s lips always bring joy to my heart. I pull him towards me as I give him a passionate kiss.
“I love you too, Trevor.”
And just like that, the issues and the heartache we endure were worth it, leading us into a lifetime of pure happiness.
