The 31 Days, 31 Authors event continues with Kia Meche! To me, Kia is an all-round author: She can write in various genres, including romance and urban. She always has a good story to tell, making her one of the best urban authors in the game.

Kia Meche is a 28 year old author from Atlanta,Ga. Mother of a baby boy, she is signed to Tiece Mickens. She writes urban fiction novels yet plans on expanding her genres. With over 15 titles under her belt, she is striving hard to build her brand.

1. Besides writing, what else do you like to do?
Besides writing, I spend quality time with my family and strategizing.
2. What inspired you to become an author?
Last year I was an avid reader. For my birthday I received a lap top and decided to try and write a book. Surprisingly it did very well so I kept going.
3. What was your first reaction when your debut novel was published?
I was shocked to say the least. My heart stopped when my first novel hit #1
4. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
In the next five years, I see myself having my own publishing company with a team full of strong authors.
5. What advice can you give to anyone who wants to become an author?
You can do whatever you put your mind to and hearing that you can’t do it should be motivation.
