Ja’Nese Dixon pens tales of romance in various subgenres, including romantic suspense and sweet romance. But her favorites are the ones that manage to keep readers sitting on the edge of their seats lying to themselves about reading “just one more chapter”.
She is an avid reader and coffee drinker, who also loves to run, cook, and craft. Her ultimate goal as a writer is to give you a little “staycation” with every story.

1. Besides writing, what else do you like to do?
I love to craft. I knit, crochet, and quilt.
2. What inspired you to become an author?
Books inspired me to become an author. I never was much of a tv watcher, even as a kid. And when I turned ten or so I started spending a lot of my summers in the library. I’d leave with as many books as my arms could carry. Reading turned to poetry, poetry to short stories, short stories to novels.
3. What was your first reaction when your debut novel was published?
I felt like I gave birth, again. LOL
4. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
My husband and I have a vision for our next five years. My writing related goal is to have a virtual bookshelf full of books and to travel more on writing excursions. I’d also love to expand my editing and publishing services.
5. Do you have any new projects that you are currently working on?
I’m writing on a new romantic suspense novel scheduled for release early 2018. I have a contemporary romance novella coming October 9, 2017 called Hidden Desire. And I have a holiday romance appearing in Holidays Ever After coming December 5, 2017.
6. What advice can you give to anyone who wants to become an author?
Do it! And don’t stop learning your craft.
