Marcus looked at Cheryl, who was sleeping in his bed. Once the two arrived at his place, she was still in shock over what happened. He continued to let her cry on his chest until she fell asleep. He carried her into his bedroom and let her rest, which was probably best for her to do at that point.

After sitting in the armchair by his bed for an hour, he needed to stretch, when he saw her stirring. She opened her eyes and looked around the room and then underneath the covers. She gave a sigh of relief when she noticed she was fully dressed before staring at him.

“How did I get here?” she asked.

“You fell asleep, so I carried you to the bed.”

She smiled. “Thanks.”

“How are you feeling now?”

She gave a sad look. “Still in shock.”

“I can imagine. I’m really sorry for Chris’ behavior. He was a real jerk.”

“Why are you apologizing?”

“Because I was kind of in his position, so I can relate.”

“I guess so; so you can answer this question for me? Why are men such assholes?”

“I can’t answer for all men, but with the choices I’d made, it all came down to being selfish. I think that was the case with Chris too.”

Cheryl sighed. “And to think he tried to blame everything on me. I know what I did was wrong with Devin, but when Chris asked me to stay away from him, I did; to a certain extent.”

“No matter what happened then, you thought things were fine between you and Chris, so it’s understandable to feel the way you’re feeling.”

Her eyes began to well up with tears, which meant Marcus had to think of something for them to do.

“Are you hungry? I probably can order a pizza.”

“No, thanks.”

“Are you sure?”

“I’m fine, Marcus.”

“What about another movie? We can watch a comedy.”

Cheryl shook her head.

“Well, what would you like to do?”

“Besides killing Chris, nothing.”

Marcus went over to her and sat beside her.

“It’s going to take some time to get over him; just know that I’ll be there for you.”

Cheryl nodded and put her head on his shoulder. “Thank you.”

“You’ve done the same for me, so it’s only fair.”

Cheryl glanced at him and he touched her cheek. She closed her eyes, enjoying his touch.

“I think I will take you up on that pizza.”

Marcus smiled as he grabbed his phone from the nightstand. He began to order while she continued to lay beside him. She hoped the hurt she’s experiencing will go away soon; with Marcus’ help, it just might.

“I still can’t believe we’re back together.” Riana whispered. Her and Shawn were in her bed watching TV. She missed doing the simplest things with him, including watching their favorite shows together.

Shawn smiled. “Well, believe it.” He said and gave her a kiss.

“You know, I would enjoy this a little more if you weren’t hogging the covers.” He implied.

Riana gave a sarcastic look. “Seriously?”

“Huh, yes.” He replied, gently pulling the covers to him.

Riana laughed and pulled the covers back. The two playfully wrestled when Shawn pulled her down on the bed. She stopped laughing and looked up at him.

“You are so beautiful.” He said, caressing her cheek.

Riana smiled and kissed him. “I love you so much.”

“I love you too.”

They kissed again while Shawn slowly moved his hand up Riana’s thigh.

“So beautiful.” He whispered, gently rubbing his hand to her center. He fingered her, causing her to lean her head back.

He kissed her neck while continuing to pleasure her, which had her feeling really good. He slowly moved from her, kissing her stomach, until he faced her clit. A shiver went through her as she knew what he was about to do.

He smiled as his tongue went inside of her. Before she could even moan, a knock was at the door. She looked at Shawn, wondering if she should go to the door.

“Ignore it.” He said and continue to go down on her.

The knock started to become louder.

“Shawn, I know you’re here! I went by your place and you weren’t there!” Chris yelled.

Riana glanced at Shawn and he shook his head.

“Sorry.” He said. He got up, grabbed his shirt from the floor and went to the main room. He opened the door and noticed the frustrated look on Chris’ face.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” He asked.

“Cheryl and I broke up.” Chris said while walking into the room. Shawn closed the door and went over to him.

“You told her about your feelings for Monica?”

“Sort of. I told her that we slept together.”

“You did what?!”

“I didn’t mean for things to go this far. She came by my job earlier and we talked and the next thing I knew we were in the security booth having sex. So I wouldn’t have anything hanging over me, I told Cheryl and she slapped me across my face.”

“You kind of deserve that.”

“But Marcus was there. He asked me if I was drunk since he wouldn’t expect this type of behavior from me.”

“Well, it is kind of strange.”

“You don’t know the pressure I’ve been under. With classes and working, I just needed something to relieve my stress. With Monica, I were able to relax around her and that’s when I decided that maybe I needed a change in my life; maybe Cheryl and me are not the same couple that we were and I wanted something new.”

“But did you really have to sleep with Monica to realize that? Maybe you and Cheryl should had talked things though.”

“Did I hear you right? You slept with Monica?” Riana asked while walking into the room.

Chris rolled his eyes and sighed.

“How could you hurt my cousin like that? I know she had done some stuff, but you didn’t have to punish her for it.”

“Are you really going to tell me how bad of a person I am when you put Shawn through hell not too long ago?”

“Excuse me!”

“Alright, Chris, back up. We all established that what happened with us was a mistake, so you don’t have to continue bringing it up.”

“I’m just proving a point. She shouldn’t be throwing stones.” Chris said while staring at Riana.

“I’m going to call Cheryl and see if she’s okay.” Riana replied. She gave Chris an angry look before going back into the room.

“That was uncalled for.” Shawn said.

“Look, I know you two are back together and happy, but she shouldn’t be judging me.”

“She’s concerned about her cousin. Seriously, is something bothering you?”

“I’m fine, I’m just trying to figure everything out, and I thought talking to you would help.”

“Did it?”

“No. I love Cheryl, but my body wanted Monica.”

“I told you that was going to get you into trouble. What are you going to do now?”

“I don’t know. But I better go; I don’t want to piss Riana off even more.”

“Okay, but just know I’m here if you need to talk.”

Chris nodded and went to the door. He turned to stare at Shawn.

“Hopefully Marcus wouldn’t try to pursue Cheryl. I knew once I asked her to talk to him, things would change. “

Shawn gave a confused expression. “What do you mean by that?”

“I wanted to see if Cheryl would do the same thing she did with Devin, so I asked her to talk to Marcus on purpose. I thought she wouldn’t develop feelings for him, but I guess my plan backfired.” He admitted.

He opened the door and closed it as Shawn continued to stare at it. He sighed, realizing that his friend set-up Cheryl so he could cheat. He turned around and saw Riana near the bedroom door.

‘Is what he said true? He set-up Cheryl?”

Shawn glanced at the door again and then at Riana. “I think so.”

She walked over to him and hugged him.

“Did you get in contact with her?” he asked.

“Yeah; she’s with Marcus.”

Shawn glanced at her. “I really hope this is not a repeat of last semester.”

Riana stared at him hoping the same thing.

Dominique stared at Riana’s dorm window. She followed her and Shawn there, so now she knew where she stayed. Now, her plan can go into motion. Once she has everything she need, she can seek her revenge on the two, as well as Cheryl, mainly because she’s Riana’s cousin.

She leaned back in the seat and sighed. She didn’t want to start the plan just yet; she needed the right time to do it.

“They can all run, but they can’t hide once I set my plan into action. When I do, they will all wish they had never met me.”
